Our approach

We start by listening.

Taking time to understand what you're experiencing doesn't make care less rigorous. It makes the recommendations more relevant to you specifically.

A careful process

Good medicine is specific and honest.

A clinician explains a care plan to a patient at a desk.

Listen

Your experience, what you've already tried, and what you hope to understand all belong in the conversation.

Evaluate

A careful evaluation looks at the full picture rather than fitting every concern into one explanation.

Decide together

Before deciding, review the options, likely outcomes, risks, and alternatives with your provider.

Follow through

Ask how your response will be reviewed, when the plan may change, and where to bring questions.

Scope and coordination

Part of your care, not a replacement for all of it.

Routine's services don't replace emergency medicine or every primary and specialty-care need. Ask whether another evaluation, specialist, or primary-care visit may be a better next step.

A consultation is not a guarantee of a prescription, procedure, diagnosis, or specific result.
